Send me a track you already made. If it goes on the radio you keep every right to it, get a cut of what the game earns, and you can still do whatever you want with the song afterwards.
Straight answer first: the radio isn't built yet. It goes in once there's something worth switching on. Everything else on this site is already in the game — this is the one part waiting on somebody else.
No brief, no genre. The game is small and sad and funny and set in a nowhere American town called Hollis Ferry — if the song could come out of a car radio there at two in the morning, it fits. Instrumental or vocal, finished or a four-track demo, ten years old or written last night.
Message legitwizard12 with the file attached and one line about what it is. That's the whole application. There's no form.
WAV or MP3, any sample rate. Full tracks, any length — I handle the fades and the tuning-in noise. Name it ARTIST_TITLE.mp3 so I can keep track.
You wrote it and you own it, including anything sampled in it. That's the one hard rule — I can't sell a game with a sample in it that was never cleared.
Covers are out for the same reason. Original work only.
Every track that gets on the radio is one point, and points are how the music pool splits. There's no cap and no limit on submissions. Five tracks in is five times the share of one.
A no on one song isn't a no on you. Send the next one.
The rights, in plain words
This is the part musicians get burned on, so here it is with nothing buried. None of it is written to favour me. If you want it signed by both of us before you send a thing, ask and you'll have it.
The pay, honestly
Ten percent of everything the game actually earns goes into a pool for the musicians, for as long as it sells. Every track that ships is one point; your share is your points over everyone's. Send three tracks and you hold three points.
Here's the honest size of that. A $2.99 copy leaves me about $1.75 after Steam, regional pricing, tax and refunds. Ten percent of that is about eighteen cents a copy into the music pool. If twenty tracks make it in and the game sells a thousand copies, that's roughly nine dollars a track.
Better you know that now than find out later. Take the slot because the terms are clean and the song actually gets played; treat the money as a lottery ticket I'm glad to hand out. The percentage doesn't expire, so if the game ever does well, it's worth whatever it's worth then.
Paperwork: a one-page letter signed by both of us saying exactly what's written on this page. I don't want anyone working off a chat message.
Send tracks here
Discord. That's the only place submissions go — message me, say what you're sending, attach the files. I answer everyone, even when the answer is no.
One more thing, since it comes up: I don't need a demo reel, a genre match, or a CV. Send the song. That's the entire filter.
